Huh?...mIRC?...what?
Posted by
Tapion on 07-31-2003 00:45
How are ya? I just wanted to clear something up. I got a few emails from some folks telling me that they don't know what mIRC is ...well, it's a downloadable program that ables you to chat and do other stuff insted of using Java, ok? Got it? Good! . And for those who don't have mIRC, the DBZGT-Legacy chat is up. It's a very nice Applet, the latest one I think. Click here to chat.

NeWz:
FoxBox will air sneak previews of its new fall shows at the end of August, the network says.
Sonic X will get an advance showing at 10:00am on August 23.
Funky Cops at 11:00am on August 23.
Shaman King at 10:30am on August 30.
On September 6, FoxBox will move to its new schedule and begin airing the new line-up.

During Tech TV's online Anime Unleashed Chat earlier today, a Tech Tv representative stated that Pioneer had sold broadcast rights for Chobits to a television network other than Tech TV. Hmm...if I only had Tech Tv...

The August issue of SHONEN JUMP is driving up the summer heat index with three manga sections in blazing color--Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Shaman King all get the full-color treatment! Plus, Shaman King fans get an added bonus: an interview with creator Hiroyuki Takei.
Ah, not bad for $5.99
Also: ShonenJump.com has an online version of the "Naruto" manga. Not to mention some new "YuGiOh!" games.

DBGT on Cartoon Network
Posted by
tennis_man45 on 07-30-2003 10:49
Because I regularly get about three or four emails a day about this, I have decided to announce here that Dragonball GT will air on Cartoon Network starting around September 2004, all episodes in order. PLEASE do not email me asking this again.

Also, that Mixups section should be up soon. I'll update this post with a link when it is up.

The deadline for link submissions is August 5 with no exceptions. So please remember to send me a link submission as soon as possible if you haven't already.

Also, mah pals over at CarbonXL have a new forum check it out. Great forums but they're kinda empty

Remember to go on chat, punk worked hard putting it up and we want to meet you, the fans... .. no... I'm serious

Thank 'Ya

Hey Z-fans,

The fanfics are all awesome, thanks alot for sending them. I had no idea Dragonball fans were as creative as you are. I wish I could let them all win, because every fic I've gotten so far, I can tell how hard you worked on it. And I greatly appreciate how you guys take this contest seriously. Thanks again!

News has been painfully slow for a while. But here's something:
For those fans in the UK there will soon be two new DBZ movies available on DVD. Warner Vision will be releasing DragonBall Z - Super Battle in the World and DragonBall Z - Super Saiya Son Goku on September 8th and will retail for £12.99. Sounds to me like movie 2 and movie 4. (source: DBZSC.)

Hello, I am Jared(Punkrocker). I am one of the newest additions to the Legacy Staff. Some of you fans might remember me from sites such as: Trinity Anime and Devilx. I was originally subjected to do Information for Legacy but as you can see, Legacy has an abundence of information to fit all your dbz/gt needs. I will be running the mIRC server for Legacy(mIRC is a way of communicating, a chat if you will call it and it is now up !!), and doing some Multimedia Music Videos, and Movies etc.. Even though I havent posted my intro earlier, but I sort of was in exile from the site.

My Latest Additions to Legacy:
mIRC Server and dbzgtlegacy chat up
0wnage mIRC Script
Java chat re-invented
22 Episode Summaries

To download our 0wnage Script. please click Here. When you enter the site, go the page "Downloads" and my script should be advertised there.

Our mIRC Server. To connect to our mIRC server/channel please connect to irc.xerath.com, 69.39.227.137, or Please use our Java Applet, Which is located here

The Episode Summaries will soon be added to our information section.

Well, I must go right now, I hope you fans are pleased with my contributions to Legacy. Well Bye Byez

Submit your OWN work!
Posted by
Master Roshi on 07-28-2003 07:16
One day into the contest, and I've already gotten some great entries. Thanks alot to the people who have submitted, and keep up the good work. But sadly, there is a downside to this. I've received wallpapers from people who seem to think we don't visit any other DBZ sites on the web, and feel that it's ok to steal wallpapers from other sites. Please people, do your own work. Don't think that we haven't seen other work from the net. We'll know when you've stolen something or not. Also, please make sure you look at the rules. I've already received some that are FAR below regulation resolution. Remember, 800x600 or 1024x768 ONLY. That's all for now, keep up the good work, and keep the wallpapers coming in.

Wallpaper Competition
Posted by
Master Roshi on 07-27-2003 12:08
Hey everyone. I've decided to host a wallpaper competition to lighten things around here. It's been so gray lately, news is slow, content is slow, etc. So I figured 'Hey, I'll host a wallpaper competition!' Here are the few simple rules...

1. All wallpapers must be in 800x600 or 1024x768 resolution.

2. All wallpapers must have a DB/Z/GT picture on it to show relavance. Anything not related to the anime will not be accepted.

3. All wallpapers must have a credit on the wallpaper where the windows taskbar will cover it. No one likes a wallpaper with your name floating around the middle.

4. A title for the wallpaper isn't necessary, but would be nice.

5. NO anime babes or hentai on ANY of the wallpapers will be accepted.

6. Every creator is limited to 1 wallpaper. If he/she choses to replace the submitted wallpaper, then we will process that. You are limited to 3 replacements.

7. All wallpapers must be submitted by August 10th. Wallpapers submitted any later will not be accepted, no matter how good.

tennis_man, and ssj4punkrocker will be judging this competition alongside me. Please send all wallpapers to wallpaper_competition@hotmail.com. Any wallpapers submitted to roshan_legacy@hotmail.com, or tennis_man's e-mail will not be acccepted. What's the prize you ask? Well, DBZGTLegacy gets about 8000-something hits a day, give or take a few hundred every now and then. There will be 3 winners, and 3 runner-ups. All 6 will be featured on DBZGTLegacy. The 3 winners will have their wallpapers up for as long as DBZGTLegacy stays alive, the 3 runner-ups will have theirs taken down in 1 month. The competition begins as of riiiiiight.....NOW! Good luck, and start bringin' them in!
