• It is one year later. Frieza is put back together and made a robot by his father King Cold. King Cold and Frieza arrive on Earth. Goku is still gone and all hope is lost. Suddenly, a young man appears. He cuts Frieza in half with his sword and blows Cold away with a single blast. This teenager does it all in Super Saiyan form!
• ;Goku appears also. He tells every one that he was learning to teleport and demonstrates.It is later revealed that this teenager is from the future. His name is Trunks, son of Vegeta and Bulma! He warns that in three years two androids will destroy the Earth and Son Goku will die of a heart disease. Trunks gives Goku some medicine.
• The Z fighters now train for three years. Three years pass and future Trunks is called Future Trunks because Chibi Trunks was born. Vegeta joins the group, but he is still not really "good". Future Trunks finds that there is another android. In his time period there were only two, 17 and 18. Now there is another , #16. Dr. Gero, creator of the androids, makes himself #20. Number Nineteen is a big fat android.
• Nineteen is killed by Vegeta, who can now turn Super Saiyan. Before he is killed by the disobedient Seventeen and Eighteen, Gero issues the command for #21, Cell. Cell is made of cells from the strongest warriors in the universe. Because he is made of their cells, he can also do their moves. In order to reach his most powerful form, Non-Perfect Cell must absorb 17 and 18. He travels back from the future to find them.
• When Kamisama sees this, he merges with Piccolo so they can fight him. Non-Perfect Cell absorbs many humans , then goes after the androids. Piccolo tries to stop him, but Cell appears to kills him.[later on Piccolo is rescued by Goku.] He finally absorbs the androids and becomes Perfect Cell. During this time, Vegeta, Trunks, Goku and Gohan train in the room of Spirit and Time. The Spirit and Time room allows them to train for one day, but in the room a year would pass.Piccolo also teains in the Room of Spirit and time after he is rescued.
• No one bothers to fight Perfect Cell. So he thinks of the fights as games, and that's where the title came from. Cell makes a tournament to see who will fight him. The Cell Game has begun.
