::...DBZU--Dragonball at its maximum...::
The Saiyan Saga begins with Goku's Saiyan brother, Radditz returning to earth searching for Kakarot or Goku. Goku is baffled when he finds out that he is also a Saiyan and he was sent to earth as a child to destroy earth. But Master Roshi explains to him that a nearly fatal head injury caused to him when he first landed made him reform and become a good guy. Radditz offers Goku two options: To destroy Earth and come with him to the evil side or to die along with the rest of the planet. Goku isn't sure what to do when his one-time arch enemy, Piccolo comes and agrees to save earth and help Goku fight Radditz.
The fiercest battle in history takes place and Goku and Piccolo use every technique they know. But it seems to have no effect on Radditz at all. Radditz even escapes Goku's powerful Kamehameha wave. He is about to kill Piccolo when he suddenly becomes powerless. Goku had grabbed a Saiyan's weak point, his tail and this makes Radditz weak. Radditz agrees to leave and become nice, but when Goku lets go of his tail, Radditz turns on Goku. When all seems lost, Gohan who had been locked in a space-pod breaks free and powers up unbelievably and assaults Radditz damaging his armor. But soon Gohan becomes his old weak self again. but Goku has managed to hold Radditz in a bear hug giving Piccolo enough time to charge up a Special beam Cannon. But the only problem is that Goku will die along with it and there is no chance of escaping. But Goku tells Piccolo to blast.
The blast is fired, but as Radditz is passing to the next dimesnsion, he reveals even terrifying news. Two saiyans, more powerful than radditz are arriving on Earth in one year and their aim is to destroy and no to come in peace and Earth's only hope, Goku, has passed into the next dimension.
The remaining Z fighters rush to start their own training. Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu, Krillin and Yajirobe are taken under wing of Kami and they recieve special training in the Pendulum Room.
As for Goku, he rushes in the Other World in search for King Kai to recieve special training in preparation for the arrival of the Saiyans in a year. King Kai accepts Goku and starts teaching him the special techniques og the Kais.
On Earh, Piccolo takes Gohan under his own training camp and leaves him isolaed in the wilderness. But Gohan comes through and they start their own training.
One year since the arrival of Radditz, the other two Saiyans arrive on Earth after causing some major destructions on their way to Earth. Their names are Vegeta, a small and yet powerful , and Nappa, big and bully-like but still afraid of Vegeta. They arrive at an isolated place where Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin are waiting. Soon Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu also join. The Saiyans plant six Saibamen, powerful green creatures on the earth and the battle starts. The battle seems even until Yamcha is killed by a Saibamen when it self-destructs. Krillin gets angry and kills all of the Saibamen by himself.
Nappa comes in to fight and seems invincible. Chiaotzu self-destructs in hopes of killing Nappa but it seems to have little effect. Tien gets mad and since he already is hurt badly, he gives it all he has to Nappa, but still Nappa is undefeated. Tien finally gives his life with one beam, but Nappa still remains. Krillin and Piccolo continue to battle with a strategy and finally have Nappa where they want. Gohan was supposed to attack Nappa by harnessing the Power of Light, but at the last moment Gohan loses nerve and flees. Piccolo and Krillin once again continue to fight, but vegeta calls a break of three hours and if Kakarot(Goku)doesn't return within them, they will resume fighting.
Times up and Nappa continues on the rampage. Piccolo devises a plan to get hold of Nappa's tail since thats their weak point. The plan works, but Nappa doesn't seem weakened and beats up Piccolo. Vegeta reveals that both of them have evolved and the tail isn't a weakness anymore. Suddenly Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan sense a very powerful force approaching. They are now assured that Goku is coming, but Nappa attacks Gohan with a powerful beam, but Piccolo takes it on himself thus sacrificing himself for Gohan. Gohan gets upset and powers up rapidly. Nappa is beat pretty bad for a short time but then Gohan returns to his normal state. Nappa is about to kill Gohan when the Nimbus Cloud rescues him. GOKU'S HERE !!!
Goku beats up Nappa and is now more powerful than ever before. Nappa doesn't stand a chance and is called back by Vegeta. But instead of going back, Nappa tries to attack Gohan and Krillin. Goku uses the kaioken techniqiue to catch Nappa and hurts him pretty bad. Vegeta has no use for such a pitiful fighter and disposes of Nappa.
Goku and Vegeta start their duel. Goku and Vegeta fight at extreme measures until Vegeta decides that he has had enough and decides to blow up the planet. Vegeta fires his Galick Gun attack and Goku does a Kamehameha. Goku goes Kaioken times 4 and this results in Vegeta being blasted away high into the sky.
But he returns and transforms into Oozaru(ape form)with the help of an energy ball looking just like the moon. Goku and Ape Vegeta continue fighting till Goku blasts a Solar Flare right on Vegeta giving Goku some time to prepare a Spirit Bomb. But when Vegeta regains control again, Goku loses the spirit bomb thus also losing all his energy.
Krillin and Gohan arrive and they form a plan to cut off Vegeta's tail which will restore Vegeta back to his normal state. Yajirobe is in charge of cutting of Vegeta's tail, but he flees. Ape Vegeta finds out that somebody is there and even escaped Krillin's Destructo Disk. All hope seems lost, but Yajirobe of everyone cuts of Vegeta's tail and then flees off again.
Vegeta comes back to his normal state, but still is more powerful than Goku's state. Gohan decides to take on Vegeta himself while Goku calls Krillin and gives him some of his one energy to form a Spirit Bomb. Gohan and Vegeta duke it out, but still Gohan is no match for Vegeta. King Kai instructs Krillin how to use the Spirit Bomb and when Krillin feels is the right moment, he throws the bomb. But Vegeta jumps and the bomb heads for Gohan. But due to his innocent nature and pure heart, Gohan rebounds the bomb to its rightful target and Vegeta gets attcked by the bomb. Vegeta falls back down after a short time and when Krillin goes near him, he re-awakens and powers up leaving a crater on the ground. Gohan is knocked out pretty bad and Vegeta goes to finish him off. When he gets near Gohan, he sees that Gohan's tail has grown back. Yajirobe strikes on Vegeta's armor and he is weakened for a short period, but Vegeta gets back and pummels Yajirobe. But Vegeta runs off to Gohan so that he can cut the tail off, but too late.. Gihan transforms to ape form and he is on the rampage. Goku calls out and tells Gohan to attck Vegeta. After trying for a few times and getting beaten up, vegeta finally cuts of Gohan's tail, but Gohan de-transforms and falls right on top of Vegeta crushing him. Vegeta tries to escape on his space-pod, but Krillin stops him and is about to kill him when Goku tells Krillin to let him escape. Vegeta escapes. End of Saiyan Saga...
