::...DBZU--Dragonball at its maximum...::
History of DBZU
FROM THE DESK OF THE WEBMASTER:
The site started out in out in Geocites.com with a long URL and Dragonball Z was just a part of the sections that was included (it was the last section and it consisted of some GIFs and no information section at all) This page led into another page with an introductory GIF of Gogeta and this lead into a section of character GIFs. However, the site was never completed. I found out about a software that can be downlaoded for making webpages. The first original layout was published. It wasn't exactly a layout, it consisted of many lines and shapes made the site look like a Geometry site rather than a DBZ site. The site was published under a host named EZHoster.com, but they gave me only 10 MB. The layout was then changed and the site looked a little bit like DBGT.com and had many squares and tables. However it wasn't very satisfying. There weren't any banners or advertisements and it had left and right navigation. So the page was changed yet again. Finally I discovered freewebsites.com and 50megs.com(Unusual that I hadn't found about it earlier) So the site was switched to freewebsites.com. BUT there was a huge problem, a silly pop up message started coming up whenever I clicked the link to the site and the message wouldn't go away. The problem was that unless I bought the whole software for $28, the message would never ever go away. So all the pages in my hard drive were deleted. Then I finally decided to fiddle with the HTML a bit and then that afternoon I found out how to get rid of the popup. But now I wanted to spread my site and get some staff. And who should come, but Xerox. He had visited DBGT.com and had read my comment on some episodes and emailed me about it. I told him the website, but unfortunately the webmaster of the site was through all the episodes. So I decided to put the episodes that I had, on my Yahoo briefcase. Then, one day, I asked him if he would like to join my staff and he readily agreed and thats how I got my staff.
FROM THE DESK OF THE CO-WEBMASTER:
I found out about this site when I emailed nutcool211 about free episodes about the Saiyan Saga ( I had never seen it). He contacted me about a site that let u download it for free. I was happy about this until the host of that certain site took off the episode section! So, I contacted nutcool211 and told him about the problem, he said he had some episodes and that I could download them off of his yahoo account. So I did. And that's how I became part of the staff! You can contact me at Godricswd2@aol.com
FROM THE DESK OF THE GRAPHICS SECTION:
Well, since the site started out late, we had known most of the popular image editing programs that most websites used. We used this program called Cool Page to generate our website pages and also made the web-pages using this program. Since I knew only basic HTML, making websites was impossible. So we used this program. This program has many options and helps a lot in generating web-pages. It had this option called "Tables" and this was used for drawing the tables for the left and right navigation. So, not much graphics in the navigation bars. But we had this craze for banners and splashes and also GIFs. So the webmaster found out about this program called ULEAD GIF Animator and he downloaded it. It was very useful and he made many cool GIFs. But this program was valid only for 15 days and on the last valid day of the software, we made our first banner ever. The first banner was just a mixture of three pictures, put together and added some effects, but no matter, it was good...Then we downloaded ULEAD Photo Impact 7 and from then on it was banners and splashes...But that program also ran out since it was valid for 30 days. Just when it was getting good. But there was less to worry about since the webmaster had another program that was ok, not superb like ULEAD Photo Imapact. But it was enough. Then came on a few banners and a few free splashes... Now there is only one more image program that would satisfy the needs of all the staff members- Adobe Photoshop. We still used the Picture It for our future versions as it seemed to be enough. It is a pretty good program and I think it will be enough for all the versions since we can create satisfactory banners and splashes with it.
Layout 1:
This was our first try at layout and web-designing. Sorry but I couldn't find the original images. Web page creator used and published, but some layout problems. Not much graphics or any professional layout. Two navigations and also sometimes very hard to navigate, but still it was our first tryout.
Layout 2:
This was our second layout, not really, many came in between but they had some minor additions and that resulted in this. It was more graphical and a webpage creator was used. Good enough, but many HTML problems and not very tidy scripting.
Layout 3:
The first fully scripted layout, this layout had no graphics but is very fast loading. Simple, but yet very powerful. Very simple HTML and also a very easy-to-navigate layout. This was supposed to last a really long time before the next version came
Layout 4/ Version 2:
Considered to be the best version of them all, this was a major upgrade of the previous ones. With few minor graphics and also very neccessary ones, this layout was fast loading. Same color and layout, only an upgrade of graphics.
Layout 5/ Version 3:
Even though the previous one was considered the best, the best was yet to come. This layout is a dream come true since I dreamt up this layout one night while sleeping. Named as Metallic, the layout was to look metal in every context and it does look metal.
Layout 6/ Version 4:
Inspired by Tegakri.com's layout, this layout was made. Even though the previous one was planned to last for some time, nutcool211 changed the layout to a bit brighter shades of metal. Now with Photoshop, this layout is planned on lasting some time.
Layout 6/ Version 4:
One year Anniversaries deserve a brand new layout, so a new professional layout with some very new elements was made. Since it was very important, totally new images were made and many intro images were changed too. This layout was, for the first time, thought to last a long time until the need to change layouts came.
